Basic RP Rules:
1)Have fun on this Roleplay forum-[/u] Have an enjoyable experience on our game. Keep the roleplaying clean. Helping people will help your chances of becoming a moderator.
2)KNOW how to roleplay- This helps us out alot. We need great/excelent roleplayers to help the forum out. We love to see roleplaying done the RIGHT way.
3) No god-modding
This means no using abilities your character doesn't possess, dodging attacks he or she can't reasonably avoid etc. This goes hand-in-hand with shadow-playing rule. If you believe someone is breaking this rule (overusing powerful abilities, dodging attacks unreasonably etc.), please contact a moderator or admin about the issue if you are not able to resolve it among yourselves.
4) No shadow-playing
This means you can't control another person's character in any way, unless given official permission to use them while the owner is away. An example of shadow play in RP is when you execute an attack and say the opponent got hit. You can't do that, only the owner of the character decides whether she or he got hit or not, you can only attempt to hit them. If someone you are RPing with starts shadow playing your or another person's character, please contact a moderator or admin about the issue if you are unable to resolve it among yourselves.
5) No double posting :
That means no making multiple posts one after eachother without having another member post between the first one. You must wait for some one else to post before you can post again. If you have something else to say and no one has posted yet, just edit your post. This is of course unless you started a 'training' thread. Meaning only when your training you can double post. Also if you have made an application that has not been posted in for 48 hours after you made dits. You may double posts to "bump" that application.
6) Keep it appropriate
A bit of strong language is fine if it's appropriate in the current RP events, but don't overuse it. If your character is ill-mannered, please replace the majority of swear words with asterisks or another common way of censorship. The same goes for inter-gender relations: you are only allowed to go as far as "suggestive themes", any more and your post will be deleted without warning.
7) No "cloning"
This means that a single character cannot be in two places at once. There are very few clone jutsus that allow you to be in two (or more) different RP threads at once (among canon it's only Shadow Clone and Wood Clone), and you can't use clones to do training while your character is someplace else (meaning, even if you do have the Shadow Clone jutsu, you may not be in several threads at once while your character is training). Also note that when you start/enter a thread with a clone, you must clarify it in the main RP part of your post. It doesn't mean other characters will know that though.
8) No using OOC knowledge
"OOC" means "out of character", and OOC knowledge is pretty much everything there is in everybody's character, jutsu, weapon and summon profiles. The only thing you can know about someone you met for the first time is how they look, and even then they might be transformed so pay attention. If your characters are somehow related by background or you possess some special abilities, you may know more about another person's character. Also note, while it is fine to use the name of a character you never met before in narrative text, you can't use it in speech or thought until you learn it, since that would be using OOC knowledge. You also know nothing of someone's abilities until you fight them, and even then the knowledge of how to counter a certain jutsu doesn't come from seeing it for the first time. Stay true to your character's knowledge and intelligence when dealing with such matters.
